It's packed with technical ability and everything you could ask for from a phone of this price. It's not the fastest nor has the most memory but it does pack a punch in every department from connectivity to cameras to services, applications and audio/video formats.

The Galaxy range is built on reputation and this Galaxy Ace 2 is something that carries that tradition on. It's small, lightweight (118.5 grams), and looks just like a miniature Galaxy S2. With a 1500mAh battery it outclasses more expensive smartphones as it boasts an astonishing 980 minutes of 2G talk time and 450 minutes of 3G talk time as well as 180 minutes of video call capabilities. There is 670 hours of 2G standby time and up to 640 hours of 3G standby time. It's charged by the microUSB cable that comes in the box. Running on the impressive Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system you have everything you could wish for from Google's OS that never fails to delight.

The CMOS camera has a 5MP resolution camera at the rear and a VGA camera on the front. There is an LED flash for low light pictures and autofocus is available. The varying sensors are used for location, connectivity and gaming and include geo-magnetic, accelerometer and proximity sensors. The dual core processor runs at 800MHz and is more than powerful enough to run this cute and clever device.

There is AllShare support, DLNA, PBAP, PBA, AVRCP, GAP, HFP, HSP, OPP, SPP, HID, KIES and KIES Air Support. WiFi direct is available and there is up to 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n WiFi. The stunning screen isn't an AMOLED one but it's still sharp as you'd like. It has 16 million colours, is 3.8" in size and boasts TFT technology and 480 x 800 WVGA resolution. There is a 4Gb internal memory that keeps everything you need in one place, or you can sync to Dropbox or other online storage devices to back-up your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 phone.

The video recording is close to those much more expensive phones as it records up to 30fps at 720p HD quality. The video formats that are available include H.263, MPEG4, H/264, WMV and RV. Audio formats are taken care of by RA, OGG, FLAC, WMA, eAAC+, AAC+, AAC and MP3. There are a myriad of Samsung services available already built-in to the device such as Game Hub 2.0, Music Hub 1.0, Social Hub 2.5, Samsung Apps, ChatOn, ActiveSync and B to B compatibility, CCX, Device encryption, Sybase, Webex and more.
