What is a network mobile phone contract deal?

When you take out a mobile phone contract from one of the UK's networks, you will receive a phone and a SIM card with a monthly allowance of call minutes, texts and data. It's a great way to get your hands on an up-to-date handset and a good mobile plan from a reliable operator such as O2, Vodafone or Three.

A network mobile phone contract means you can get a new smartphone at an affordable price. Depending on which handset and plan you go for, it's possible you'll have to pay an upfront cost, but ultimately it will still be lower than buying a new phone outright. You'll pay the rest of the value of the phone off over the course of your contract.

Each mobile network has its pros and cons, so before you decide on a network to go with, consider different factors such as network coverage, customer service, reward schemes, discounts and freebies, and ultimately how competitive their tariffs are.
